Windows Phone 7 how to install and uninstall apps
Windows Phone 7 is a closed platform so you’ll need to rely on the Windows Marketplace to find apps for your smartphone. It’s been built into every Windows Phone 7 handset from the ground upwards though, so this is no hardship.

In order to download anything from Windows Marketplace, you’ll need to link your phone to a Live ID, which includes MSN and Hotmail logins. Your phone will have attempted to sync-in with one of these accounts at its initial launch, but if it didn’t you can do so manually within the Settings menu.
In Settings, pick the Email & Accounts option, tap Add an Account and then Windows Live. Here you’ll be able to login with an existing account. If you don’t have one, you can create a Live ID at passport.net.
Once you have your details sorted out, using the Marketplace is wonderfully simple. The app store is called Marketplace within your Windows Phone 7 handset’s app menu and navigation is very intuitive. Just navigate to the app you’re after, tap its entry and you’ll see a “buy” or “install” (for free apps) pop-up appear at the bottom of the screen.
Uninstalling apps
All Windows Phone 7 handsets come with enough space for oodles of apps, but if you’ve managed to clutter-up your phone, you might want to zap a few of them. Doing so is simple.
Go to the main apps menu, by swiping left from the home screen, then hold a finger down on the app entry you’d like to get rid of. Next to the “pin to start” option you should see an “uninstall” option. You can only uninstall additional apps, not the core ones that already came installed on your phone, so if you don’t see the option, that’ll be why.
