Earlier this month, we reported that the Nokia N8 would be available from 24 August, which is the German release date for this 12-megapixel smartphone. Pocket-Lint talked to a Nokia Store employee, apparently one in the know too, who confirmed that the handset would be available in the UK from 25 August.

The Nokia N8 is the first phone to use the Symbian^3 operating system, Nokia’s attempt to bring its smartphone range up-to-date with the standards set by Android and Apple’s iPhone. The N8 also features a 12-megapixel camera that can capture 720p video. It comes in more colours than your average smartphone too. Get an eyeful of that lime green finish.
