The Omnia HD is getting closer to release and the new unit we have is much different than the real early bird we checked out back in February. It’s been a while, so here’s what Samsung have been up to with the Omnia HD.

Samsung CL65 Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, DLNA support

The CL65 has a 5X optical Schneider-Kreuznach lens (35mm to 175mm), a 12-megapixel CCD sensor, dual optical/digital image stabilization, and 720p HD video recording (H.264 at 30 frames per second). In case all of that wireless connectivity doesn’t do the trick for you, an HDMI-out adapter is sold separately.

Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, DLNA support, gesture user interface, high-resolution touch screen, and HD video: Samsung’s throwing a kitchen-sink’s-worth of technologies into its CL65 point-and-shoot ultracompact camera. Other manufacturers have tried–and failed–to make a lot of these features work before. But while several of the CL65′s capabilities may yet prove useful and attractive, it looks like some are traveling the oft-trodden road of FAIL.
